3. let it dissolve/bite it
4. repeat

Gum always gets in the way of the candy, you bite it up and it ends up getting stuck in the gum and you feel let down by this loss of candy

Candy canes are so good.
I once sharpened a candy cane with my tongue to the point where I accidentally pricked my lip and started bleeding.

They can also be dangerous. Don't suck on one end of it for too long. You end up sharpening it to a point. Cut my gums atleast twice doing that.
