Author Topic: Feedback needed on a road of mine.  (Read 848 times)

Does it need anything else? It's supposed to be one of those roads in the middle of town.

it isn't a big deal, but i would say move the lamp posts a brick away from the from the road and then try to make it bend over the road.

otherwise i like the lines and sewer grates/water pipes/whatever.

Make the lamp post taller(a lot)

turn off shaders, i can barely see the actual road.

Make it so that lamp posts are every 31 bricks, and only 4 per road. See, when you dupe that, the lamps will be RIGHT next to each other.
Also taller.

How my roads end up looking:

Use trey's link. I never used it because I figured that out on my own, but it would've been nice to have.

Please point out where you see a cross walk.

I think he meant the sidewalk.

The lights shouldn't be right on the edge of the sidewalk like that.

If it's not too inconvenient for the method of building whatever this is for, I would make the road odd-numbered in width so there isn't that much black between the yellow. Or, some roads I did used 2x width yellow solid/dotted/half-dotted lines, no black between. I prefer having the yellow lines too close to having them spaced so far apart.

I like the width of the lanes, leaves plenty of room for error. The sidewalks are a good width for that road. The lamp posts seem a bit short, though.

Just make sure you get the divider correct, because those are highway no-pass lines, you'd see them out on country roads or highways when going up and down hills and turns.
That's my only concern, since so many people don't know how to do dividers.

too many lamps and grates
