Author Topic: Microphone isn't working after wiping and reinstalling windows 8  (Read 843 times)

So today I had to wipe my Hard Drive due to crashing because i accidently messed it up.
So after wiping my mic worked before the wipe, now it doesn't. What do I do?

Go down to the sound symbol.
Right click
Recording Devices
right click your mic
Enable

If that doesn't work
Double click mic
Settings
Check around and post weird things

And if that fails
plug it in.

Check your drivers

any tests i could use?

Did you make sure you reinstalled your sound drivers afterwards? They would be on the driver disk that came with the motherboard.

If you have skype you could use the Echo Sound Test service lady/bot thing to see if it works.

System prefs->Audio
It lists your audio hardware
