Author Topic: Gaming Computer for Blockland  (Read 2621 times)

You're pretty much forgeted if you want a pre-assembled PC that can run blockland w/ shaders, from best buy no less. But you could rob a bank and buy this.

Sorry, I should have made that clearer, but yeah, I have no idea what I am doing when it comes to computers. I would be better off just buying an already assembled computer.
You don't need to know what you're doing, just follow the instructions and assemble it.
 Lol

I don't understand. Every day I see people that say they have this computer or that computer and they say that they can use shaders on high without lag. They say that they have a pretty cheap gaming computer, some cheaper than what my price range is. I don't get it.

You'll need a Cray to run blockland on max.

Alright, if I were to build my own computer, how much would it cost to get all the parts? And would I be able to see shaders on high with this built computer? Would it be a desktop computer?

Also, post a link or links to some places where I can get a materials list for a good custom computer.

Show us your parts first though before you buy them

Probably a desktop, it would also be alot cheaper to build one.

You can use http://www.newegg.com/ .
You could build something pretty decent if you spend your money right on a site like that.

Blockland uses OpenGL. I think any computer made today can run OpenGL.

Yes but not all computers can run the needed extensions for shadows, or are fast enough.
