Well in your opinion,
anyway, is there a fix for this?
Well, not necessarily an opinion, unless you prefer leggy recording on both the recorder's end and in the video.

If you use Dxtory, you can play at any FPS, but record at any limit you want. 30 is best because that is the FPS of videos played back on YouTube. There are also many, many more options for Dxtory that Fraps lacks. You should seriously look into using Dxtory instead of Fraps.

I already bought fraps though, and don't want to buy a same thing of it again.

Perhaps a little research before your purchase would've been beneficial.

Anyway, anyone know a fix for this? I also should say while recording, the screen tearing, is lines in the middle of my screen.

Dxtory is loads better, but it's like $80 dollars

Just live with the screen tearing, it's not that unbearable (the same thing happens to me)

Eh, it gets annoying later on because its hard to have a line in the middle of the screen while your recording.

Wait a minute, I think the screen tearing is caused due to the FPS being too close to my monitor refresh rate, I am going to try and up the FPS in the fraps settings to 120.

I have a pretty awesome computer.

I5 3570k 3.4ghz
8Gb ram

this is actually the same thing i have :v

It makes the video alot choppier, than 60.

No it doesn't there's something wrong with your computer then. 30fps looks fine, you know movies are filmed at 24fps right?

Now imagine quake 2 at something other than 90 fps.
It's going to be choppy as stuff.
