Port, you're overthinking things, nothing was said about any finite number of decimal points being the exact representation.

Baked a pie for my geometry class, a girl who made a couple pies said mine was better than hers. I just put pudding in an oreo crust and brought a container of whip cream.

Who said we're calculating the exact value of pi? Nobody here, that's for sure. All calculations are merely approximations.

Of course, we have calculated pi to 1/101012 precision, so those approximations are pretty damn accurate.
