Author Topic: RTB has been down for me since last night.  (Read 1229 times)

Hey guys, is it just me, or have all the features of RTB, as well as the RTB website, stopped working?

I can't access the website, nor download any files from the RTB Listings, nor use any of the in-game features.

It's weird, because I still see files getting updated in the RTB Listings forum and nobody else seems to be having problems or else I would've seen a topic covering this before mine.

So what's going on? Is RTB down for just me, or is anyone else having problems as well? Please respond ASAP because there are some new files there I want to download.

A couple people have reported issues connecting to RTB but I've not had anyone give enough information to find out what's up. It's functioning for most people.

Can you do the following in cmd if you're on Windows:

ping returntoblockland.com

tracert returntoblockland.com

And paste the output?

(Noedit) I've thought about flushing the DNS cache since sometimes malicious DNS entries can crop up and mess with your ability to access certain websites... Now I just need to remember how to do that.

(Noedit again) Nope, flushing the DNS resolver cache didn't help. I'm trying another tracert to see what route it tries now.

Well, it took the same route and once again it kept timing out after router1-atl.linode.com... Hmm...

(Noedit Triple post omgzorz) Well, the problem seems to have resolved. Whatever you did (or didn't do), Ephialtes, thanks.
