Subscribers actually do not mean anything. Someone I know has about 60 subscribers but gets on average of about five views on each video. He's so idiotic because he's so proud of himself for getting that many subscribers when he just does sub for sub. Then he gets all upset because he gets like no views.

You can actually choose which videos have ads and which don't. So you could put an advert on your most viewed video and that's it.

They either have adblock or they don't, making awesome videos won't change that.

I wasn't talking about video quality...? You said "money is based solely on views". You get money from views because those viewers are watching advertisements. If they have adblock, then the ad never shows up, not getting any profit from that person or bunch of people. This is why big youtubers don't like it when people have adblock. Then they don't get their precious lodesemoneeeeeee.
