Author Topic: Blockland makes my computer endlessly beep.  (Read 1233 times)

Whenever I start up blockland, and it reaches the main menu, my computer tower makes an annoying, loud and continuous beeping noise. It doesn't just go, beep beep beep beep beep. Once I start it up, it goes like beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee e-
and it continues on, never to end.

Whenever I go to options or some other menu, the pitch of the beep changes.
Whenever I am on a server, and look at different directions, the pitch of the beep smoothly changes.
Whenever I am loading anything on blockland, beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeee.
And now it's getting to my sanity.

Anyone know the cause of this?

This happens also, its the graphics card. I hate hearing this noise, I think my graphics card is being broken or something. Anyway apparently, this noise is somewhat "normal" (I dont really think so) if the sound its emitting is low, it has to do with coil or capacitor whine (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coil_noise). I also think it has to do with menu's that are running at 1000fps or higher, if you uncheck the "Disable Vsync" box in the options while on the Blockland menu the sound disappears or is a lot lower than before.

Computers make that noise ALL THE TIME.
Whenever your computer makes that noise, it just means that something is loading or going on.
Completely normal.
But, if you get a better graphics card, it will help.

It only happens when I'm on Blockland, no other game or application.
