Possible to transfer games via USB?

I want to know if you can get full games on a usb. My computer is really old and slow so i cant play barely any games on it. I like PC gaming too but i cant get a new computer since my family doesnt think we need a new one. Anyways my sister has a pretty good laptop that can run alot of games without any lag and is pretty good for gaming.  The problem is she doesnt want me to download anything on her laptop so i have to use a usb to play games like blockland or minecraft. So if i wanted to play like TF2 or something would i have to download it first on my computer/usb then to the laptop or does that not work? Also I dont really know any free games that are fun that i could regularly put on a usb so if you know any please discuss.

steam has an option to backup your game files, and if i recall correctly you can transfer the backup to another pc and just put it on the steam folder

It really depends on the game.

For something like TF2, you'd probably need to run it through Steam, which won't really install on anything other than a hard drive (pretty sure the installer actually stops you from doing this). Apply this to any Steam game. I don't know how legal it is to circumvent this, so I won't address that. If your sister's computer has Steam, you're set.

Blockland should run fine off the flash drive if you use the -profilePath launch option.

Minecraft could work if you use some method of forcing it to store on the flash drive.

I believe you need to have the files for a Steam game in the computer's steamapps folder. Technically, that's installing it.

I used to play Armadillo Run, Toribash, Powder Toyand a bunch of experimental games... it was some contest or something, really interesting and very simple games made in a short period of time, with some kind of theme... on USB.
