For those who do not know, Nintendo has been developing a new version of Flipnote Studio for the 3DS. However, due to this, they are taking down the previous DSi service. The new Flipnote Studio will be controlled solely by Nintendo, and what's sadder will no longer provide a free online service to users outside of specified free times.
While I no longer use the service, this still saddens me. However, while checking through my emails, I found that they are offering to have user's flipnotes transferred to a DSi Archive which will be accessible through the new service. You must opt into this transfer, and lose some rights, but your flipnotes will not be lost when the old service is taken down. Those who wish to respond to it must do so by May 31st of this year, so time is somewhat limited. I opted in simply because I'm hoping Nintendo is doing this for everyone screaming murder for... murdering the old service and pushing everyone to the paid service.
