About the Anime/Show:
RWBY, pronounced Ruby, is an upcoming original animated web series created by Monty Oum and produced by Rooster Teeth Productions. The first trailer was released on November 7th 2012, showing "Red" Ruby fighting against a pack of Beowolves. The second trailer was released on February 14th 2013, showing "White" Weiss singing in front of a crowd and having a flashback to a fight with a Giant Armor. The third, and most recent trailer, was released on March 22nd 2013, showing "Black" Blake and Adam raiding a cargo train and fighting mechanical soldiers and a large security guard.
RWBY is an acronym made from the first letters of Red, White, Black, Yellow - which corresponds to each main character's "color." Ruby was the first character to be revealed in the series, with Weiss being the second, and Blake being the third. Yellow will be the next character to be revealed, with her trailer scheduled for June 1st, at A-Kon in Dallas
The first episode of the series is set to premiere live at RTX 2013 (July 5-7, 2013 in Austin, Texas.)
The series is written by Kerry Shawcross, Miles Luna, & Monty Oum, with music by Jeff Williams.

Ruby:

"Red" Ruby is one of the main characters and the first character introduced in RWBY. Ruby's weapon of choice is a High Velocity Sniper Scythe (HVSS) named Crescent Rose. She first appeared in the "Red" Trailer released on November 5th, 2012, in which she fought Beowolves.
Weiss:
“Mirror, mirror, tell me something
Who's the loneliest of all?”
"White" Weiss Schnee is one of the main characters in RWBY. Weiss' choice of weapon is a Multi Action Dust Rapier (MADR) named Myrtenaster. She made her appearance on the 14th of February 2013 in the "White" Trailer, in which she was performing a song while having a flashback of a fight with the Giant Armor, both of which presumably took place at the White Castle.
Blake:
“From shadows
We'll reclaim our destiny.”
"Black" Blake Belladonna is a main character in RWBY and the third character introduced. Her weapon of choice is a Variant Ballistic Chain Scythe (VBCS) dubbed Gambol Shroud. She, along with Adam, first appeared in the "Black" Trailer on March 22, 2013 during the PAX East 2013 event infiltrating a train and doing battle with high-tech robots.
Yellow:
“Yellow beauty burns gold,”
Yellow is one of the main characters in RWBY. She is due to make an appearance on June 1st at A-Kon in Dallas.
Other Characters:
Adam:
“Looks like we're gonna be doing this the hard way... ”
Adam was first seen in the Black Trailer and is the first male character to be introduced. He has a similar design to Ruby's and wears a mask over his eyes. He uses a weapon which appears to be a rifle and a ninjato merged together. He appears to have a connection to Blake, but is abandoned by her at the end of the trailer.

YORB (unofficial name) is a future team in the world of RWBY.
