Author Topic: new RAM cards  (Read 941 times)

the other day i was taking apart one of my broken computers (pc1) and found the ram card. the ram on the pc i use (pc2) is really low so i decided to add the ram from my old computer to the one i use. i saw that there was only space for two ram cards. i saw that the two ram cards in pc2 are only 256mb each, the ram in pc1 are 525mb each. so i went to swap them out with the old ram cards and saw that they were the wrong size (by wrong size i mean they wouldn't fit in the slot) what i am asking is how do i find out what size ram cards my pc needs?

I'm going to start by asking how old is your computer?

I take it one is DDR and the other is DDR2.

must be dealing with ddr2 and ddr as ddr3 doesn't even come in that low memory.
