Using a case I made a game last 7 years. Then I traded it away.

how do you some of you people break your game CD's so easily? even when i was a little kid i was taught how to properly handle disks and other computer hardware/accessories (like the family rule of no magnets in the computer room) so that i wouldn't damage or break them
i would've thought that it would be common sense to treat something like a CD with care

i remember one time i was like 6 and i snapped a disk on purpose
the disk contained some south park episode that i was deathly afraid of for some reason

I let my brother borrow Fallout 3 maybe a week or two back, and after about three days he handed it back to me damaged beyond repair. He feigned innocence, claiming "the Xbox ate it." It turns out he likes to use his Xbox as a footrest and the majority of his games are nonfunctional. :/

He showed me his copy of Portal 2 and it literally looked like broken glass. I thought it would fall apart if I picked it up.

I'm yet to break a disc or cartridge of any kind, personally.

i cant even remember the last time i even TOUCHED a disk.
might have been years

I'm taking that you don't use consoles or DVD players.

consoles are debatable. but i dont own em.

however dvds are loving 20'ohs man. old school.

once my dad broke my sesame street educational PC game cd :(

my simspathy 2 u  :panda:

i use a spindle because some how all my cases manage to break, and
I still have decade old PS1 games working, and only one game still has its case. (Tomb Raider)

would it be legal to redownload the game from a pirate site, since you already own the game? it would be equal to having a backup, wouldn't it?
Nope, in order for it to count as a backup (And even then it's a pretty grey area of the law IIRC) you'd have to rip it yourself.

Makes sense.
We still use CDs here because we have disk drives to make use of. That and why not?

Right now the only thing the CDs are good for however is just to cover our drinks.

you may be able to get a replacement if you still have the receipt depending on where you got it
