Oh look, another drama that is a small problem. Oh well.
Honestly, it just pisses me off whenever I see someone say this.

If ya don't know what this is for some reason:
It's when someone says something about how there aren't very many good servers anymore (which is true).
Then someone else replies with "If you don't like the servers, make your own"

I mean, seriously.
For one, not EVERYBODY can host a server.
Second, even if you can make a server, most of the time it's impossible to wait for another person to join it.
Third, just making, say, a DM when there aren't any others, won't magically make other servers like it, unless people do the same thing.
Then there are all those other problems with making the server.


So discuss.

that's an opinion that you're in the minority of.

For one, not EVERYBODY can host a server.

that doesn't support itself very well, plenty of people CAN host of a server, and whether they can or not usually doesn't affect how much they complain about servers.

impossible certainly isn't the right word to use there, and even then it sounds more like a problem you have yourself with joining servers, regularly i have no issues connecting very quickly.

i'm still having trouble understanding this one, and no matter how i decipher it in my head it doesn't seem to related to the topic at all. or in some cases it even contradicts the point you were originally trying to make.

Well, I did say "nearly".
But I think I overdid it.
What I meant is it usually takes awhile for anyone to join a server. But I guess it's unrelated.

I think "make your own" is a perfectly good argument. Whining about how "there are no good servers" is pointless and doesn't do anything. If you want good servers, make your own. Stop complaining. Stop being lazy. Obviously some people can't host in which case this doesn't apply to them. Let's be honest, though; most people can.

I pretty much agree with this. While some people may not have the time to make a quality server, that doesn't allow them to complain about a lack of servers
