It doesn't matter how good of a coder you are, if the engine isn't capable, it just isn't going to work.

I can see something like this working in like Source or something, but I don't think Torque is powerful enough for all this stuff.

If you want to make your own block building game, then good luck.  Just don't use the name "Blockland" and don't use any Blockland assets.
