Author Topic: Microphone recommendation?  (Read 901 times)

I know nothing about them and you guys are generally tech-savvy people.

I don't need anything professional quality, but just something so that people can hear me without any god-awful background noise and not terrible quality. Because this is what the constant background noise on my current one sounds like.

It needs to be able to be shipped to the UK and cost under £40 including shipping.

Do you prefer a microphone headset or just a regular microphone you hold?

A great headset with a built in microphone: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826265068

Another great microphone which is very cheap: http://www.amazon.com/Zalman-Zm-Mic1-Sensitivity-Headphone-Microphone/dp/B00029MTMQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1376438086&sr=8-1&keywords=zalman+microphone+zm-mic1

There aren't many good quality standalone microphones which you can get for under $40 or under £40.

Really? I'd prefer something that can sit on my desk, I usually prefer not to wear a headset.

But I guess if there's not much else, I'll have to settle with it.

I've actually found regular standalone microphones, but they all have stands would you be interested in seeing one?

awesome sound quality. you can also hang them on your neck while wearing earbuds for a good fashion statement.

I own the first one you listed, and the quality is just terrible. I think there is a reason why they price it at 9 bucks.
