Author Topic: Playertype missing in addon menu  (Read 1832 times)

For some reason, Iban's health modes player types(These cannot be found anymore. The link to it broke down.) cannot seem to be found in the addons when selecting a custom game.
The health modes were a shield that protected from all damage and regenerated quickly. The shield regenerated, but the health did not. The other one was a player type that rapidly regenerated health. The files in the folder were things like support_healthmode engine.cs and Player_No Jet Shielded.cs. The file names all have spaces in them instead of underscores. Could that be the problem?

If anyone wants to look at the health mode playertypes, I made a new link for it.

Dude, I'm sorry to break this to you...

YOU JUST GAVE A DOWNLOAD LINK TO A BANNED ADD-ON!
YOU BETTER HIDE, MAN!

I suggest you delete that add-on from whatever website you uploaded it to before you get banned!

Can't edit posts in Help. What do you mean, banned? Failed addon? CRCed?

Yes, it's been failed.
And I know you can't edit.

Failed for what? Broke something?

Most likely.
Either it has a backdoor, some virus, breaks stuff, doesn't work, or is just really low in quality, it can still get failbinned.
I don't think badspot will ban him for this, he probably didn't know, Badspot will most likely just remove the link and give him a warning.

I find his accusations that the addon is failed suspicious. He just barges in and says its failed, and doesn't explain why its failed. I remember when that addon first came out, nobody banned it/failed it.

I didn't explain why because I don't know why!
All I know is that when the add-on is loaded, the console says, "on the list of bad add-ons - can not execute".

NO EDIT:
I did find the original post for the add-on, however, like you said, the link is gone.
But, nothing in the topic infers that the add-on was failed.

I was able to get around the whole "CRC" thing.
I tested the add-on, and it works fine, but it is a really bad add-on.

So my only guess is that it was failed because it's really bad.

How would it be bad if its just two simple playertypes? One has fast regenerating health and one has a fast regenerating shield? Did an update break it or something?

Badspot personally bans these add-ons, so no, an update didnt break it. The add-on prob had malicious stuff on it, or it just didn't work that great.
