Author Topic: Best Datacenter to rent a high performance server?  (Read 693 times)

Okay so I would like to host multiple games - ArmA II, Multiple Minecraft Servers, and maybe do some blockland hosting and anything else I need. I also want this server as for remote storage for myself and some friends.

What would be the best data center to get a high performance server at? Once again, I want to run a ArmA II server and maybe 3-4 MC servers for myself and friends.

I'm looking to buy it at maybe $50-$150 a month, is that a reasonable price? I don't know much about these things and prices so i'm asking you guys.

you'd be better off using Dropbox

If you can be a bit flexible on your pricerange, buy a dedi from NFOservers. They have plenty of stuff in your price-range.

Did you even read the rest of the thread? Pretty sure Dropbox doesn't offer the rest of the stuff I listed.

I can do possibly $200. Thats about all. (loving iPhone glitch).

I asked him if he can help me with this 2 weeks ago, he said sure then I never heard from him again.

Web Hosting Talk offers section is always the best place to look for a deal. The other route is finding a provider you're happy with and seeing what they'll offer you, never ever pay retail list price for anything to do with hosting.

I think one of these would do just fine for your purposes. $179 a month, $50 dollar one-time set-up fee.

NFO is the stuff, probably one of the best gsp's out there. When I ran a gmod RP server last year I got responses to my support tickets literally within 5 minutes even at 4 in the morning. VERY low pings, too. They're great.

no stuff, but for that purpose Dropbox would be a better option, whether you're renting another server or not
