-snip-
omg i missed out :(
but yeah its amazingly fun just having v8 zombies and a defense build, even though the build may suck in terms of looks. somehow trying to defend a building from utter destruction is addicting.
Khain's server was very popular today due to this <3
the build really was stuff in terms of organization and design but it was just somehow fun to duplicate plates and try and hold out for as long as possible.
Newb's guide to using V8 zombies:
1) Don't underestimate these zombies' health. They're not run-of-the-mill zombies where a few heavy-caliber shots will do them in. In fact, I believe that two direct rocket hits are required to take one out. If any of you use HK, it takes 2 headshots using the Intervention at 200% damage to take them out.
2) Buildings MUST be more than 12 bricks tall, preferably 20-30. Don't underestimate their stacking ability, as shown in Taboo's pictures. Look how the tower on the right had its upper platforms decimated with little damage to its underlying structure.
3) Spam is
necessary. Use plates. Lots of them. And on that note...
4) Build buildings like you were tiling bricks. Don't duplicate any stacks of bricks; one hit will do them in. Look at Alternative's tower.
5) If it looks like stuff, it doesn't really matter. The most defensible buildings do so anyways. Look at Alternative's tower.
6) For a server with 13 people, 30 zombies will do. Bots can handle anything from 0 to 4 zombies at once, assuming you're not giving them explosive weaponry and also a reasonable gun (LMG's, heavy battle rifles, or at least a shotgun)
7) Zombies only kill bricks when they cannot reach you because something is in the way. Use this trait to create traps and stuff, since they won't kill bricks that don't impede them.
8) Zombies do
not have pain emitters; you
are doing damage, keep it up!
9) Zombies don't crouch often, if at all. I might be wrong on this, but I've killed a lot of zombies today and I don't recall ever seeing one crouching.
