Author Topic: I've never been so jealous about exercising.  (Read 773 times)

At camp this passed week while playing capture the flag I ended up pulling my hamstring. I also had some pain in my lower back, pelvic region right now but its helps if I take a football or tennis ball and dig it into the painful spot.

Anyways, because of these I can't run to well nevermind sprint for football and it actually kinda makes me jealous. Some people hate exercising/conditioning on the football team and Im thinking "man if only I could actually do that"

Discuss being injuried and not being able to exercise and how it sucks :(

Right now I'm pretty sure I have runner's knee. I went to XC camp a few weeks back and I probably overworked it with that and including 7 mile practices.

stuff.

turned into a couch potato when i got out of military academy

I once fell off of a swing that was about 5 feet off of the ground onto a number of sticks, stones and hard dirt.

Sprained my ankle, scraped a few places and I think I pulled something.

...So that sorta sucked.

Once fell off my RipStick mini at 10 mph and got scraped in four places. I hit my elbow on the pavement and got a pretty bad road rash there (gouged out about a 16th of an inch of flesh, half inch diameter). Also scraped my knee, another spot on the elbow, and my hip. And I was still half a mile from home. So I got back on my RipStick. On the way home, there's this steep hill that's part of a bike path. Rather than be sensible, I thought to myself, "Well, I've got nothing to lose now", (not true) and went down. Now, this hill gets you going 20+ mph coasting, doesn't matter what you're riding. Luckily I didn't fall on the way down, or I would've most certainly broken bones. I made it home, freaked out my parents a bit with the injuries (I tried to act like it was no biggie; they weren't buying it), cleaned it up, and was out of commission in terms of physical activity for a while.

Man, I don't know if I could live with myself if I permanently injured myself somewhere that prevents me from running around/Rollerblading. :(

had to skip leg workouts because my knee grew a boob for a week or so

yeah being injured sucks. ive never broken a leg or tore an ACL or anything but ive had some injuries during football that have caused me to sit out a practice or two. honestly you feel like crap because you see everyone doing everything and youre like "wow man i should be apart of this wtf"
