Author Topic: Support_Impact_Damage - Damage to players in vehicle collisions!  (Read 1537 times)

This is done (V1 at least). The final product has:
- Toggle to enable/disable impact damage (/impactdamage). //Done.
- Two different levels of damage for different speeds. //Done.
- Full passenger support. //Done.
- Bot damage. //Doone.

Hope to have:

- Damage to turret mounted players.

Current bugs:
- Console spam; easily fixable, won't worry about it until release.
- Screen not refreshing upon player death (working on it).

- Collisions with bricks not working. (Possibly just an engine problem; if that's the case, oh well).

I have one question, if anybody knows the answer to it. How are collisions for vehicle sounds handled? Sounds play upon collision with bricks, but onCollision is almost never called.

If you guys have any suggestions, let me know, I'll consider them.

can you make it so when you have a soft crash, the player kinda goes foward and when you fully crash the player's body flys foward?

No, not really, sorry. Blockland is a bit too limited for stuff like that.

Cool idea, but ehh, this won't cope well with blockland's buggy vehicle physics. Like you hit a wall and go flying, usually you just deal with it and wait to land, but now you'll be killed the moment you hit the wall.

No, you won't. I'm the one making the mod here, pretty sure I know how it works. Default max damage value is 10. :/

Welp, now that I know that, sure.


V3 is now up, use the above link. Has bug fixes and more support features. Kinda forgot to post here for V2... :/
