I agree, stay away from Beats and Skull Candy. I'd suggest a generic pair from Phillips or JVC; some of my personal favorites are the JVC in-ear gummy earbuds, which can usually be found for about $7-$10. I'd suggest getting a couple pair if you use them often. Also, they have superb sound quality.
OP, seriously consider this. Please don't waste your money buying a pair of $50 -$100 pair of earbuds; they break too easily for that. The ones I listed above have sound quality that is just as good as any expensive pair, and you could buy 5 or 10 pair for the price of one, thus lasting you much longer for the price spent (don't buy that many at once until you know you like them, though).
It seriously pains me to see someone pay ten times as much money for an object that is made of the same materials and performs the function as its less expensive counterpart. Granted, not ALL cheaper earbuds are worth mentioning, but still, come on...
