keyboard help

so today i cleaned my keyboard, and when i got everything done, i plugged it back in, it wouldnt register my keys
they lit up, but no typing
i've tried different USB ports and rebooting my computer

no he has a custom iphone with a usb port so he just kinda forgeted on from there
