Windows Movie Maker?
hahaha

no

preferably can not mess up exports

or at the very least export in mp4
or another good thing

I use Windows Movie Maker and it always turns out decent enough, I'd rate it 8/10.

What's the problem with it exporting in WMV? Not to mention you could just convert it later to any format you'd want anyway.

Then there's Lightworks and other free software (Lightworks is free, but has a difficulty scale similar to Sony Vegas, but it's arguably the best free software you can use).

I have a solution to export it in an Windows Media/Action file which can be uploaded to Youtube (if that's what you're aiming for.

Basically just do "Save Movie" and do the "Recommended For This Project" option. Hope I helped!

I use Openshot video editor. On linux, it sometimes crashes, but it's a simple video editor that can do that and more. I'm not sure how it does on windows.
