Thanks, I'm going to end up Re-arranging the OP eventually, with Pictures/Video Links to all the houses, instead of posting pictures for every single one of them. We still got lots of work to do before that will be happening though.

Lots of houses are brick in the front. Look at some of the neighborhoods in northern VA.

It's actually pretty common as siding is a lot cheaper to install and you can even get aluminum variants of it which can last longer in more weather variant states such as Minnesota where its 9 months winter and 3 months of burning hell.  Masonry gives you that curb appeal and resale value that everyone loves in real estate because that means more money from the time you bought the house to the point of selling it later on.
