Author Topic: Duel Control Mapping  (Read 385 times)

Is there anyway to make controls have 2 inputs? Like, my mouse looks around, but so does my joystick at the same time? It seems I just have to keep re-mapping controls every time I fly a plane.

On a side note, how can you make joysticks work? Apparently you can't.

Joystick support's a bit wonky. It's possible to get it working properly, but it requires a bit of coding to do so. No fully finished & released script exists, though.

This is the only script I know of that does this: http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=228361.msg6481071#msg6481071

I'm just going ahead and say this, I probably won't be finishing the joystick script because its annoying to use a controller to play, and even more annoying to make the support for it.
There's no benefits in using or making a joystick support script because blockland is not meant to be played with one.
If someone else is willing to put the time and work in fixing up my script they can go ahead and do it and release it.

Yeah. It takes a lot more work than just implementing the support, you also have to create ways to adapt the gameplay to the new control style.
