Author Topic: Blockland Face Tracking Test [Video]  (Read 1297 times)

I made a video testing tracking in After Effects by tracking a blockhead's face and adding my own.

The face in the video is just a simple place holder and can be easily replaced. I am planning on mixing this effect with lip syncing, like in this video:

I don't understand how you went from video 1 to video 2
But holy stuff that's smooth as forget
You're going to make loads of videos using this right

Using the tracking from the first video I'm going to place lip sync faces, like in the second video, on the blockhead's face. In the second video the characters are only able to stand still without lots of different frames and stuff, but with tracking I can have the faces change and the characters move at the same time.

At least a few. Just gotta think of what to make.

it makes me think of monty python. those would be some fun things to make!

also is it tracking anything in the first one?

Can it track the face if you walk around or rotate the head?

I'd assume so, with those markers that he was using on the face should just move with it once it's parented to it.

that's neat! the lyp-sync is superb

The tracking doesn't work so well for rotating but if I adjusted the face frame by frame it would work, although that would take a while.
