If you honestly will never use the screen part and your laptop is somewhat recent, consider selling the LCD, it's the single most expensive part of the laptop.

Duct tape and hot glue. Really simple.

My laptop (the one I'm using right now) is pretty damaged too.
I am missing 8 keyboard keys, so I have connected a new keyboard via USB.
Also, I took it apart, and I'm missing some caps for the monitor's hinges. Those aren't vital, though.
