He is deaf dude give him a break.
Being deaf doesn't explain the extent of his lack of knowledge about English. Being deaf prevents you from being able to speak or hear English, but has absolutely no inhibitions to your ability to read and write English. They're two distinct areas of your brain (Broca's and Wirnicke's Areas, respectively) and not hearing spoken English doesn't inhibit his ability to interpret read English. Just like if I learn a new word through reading it and then I hear it, I can still connect it.

His typing abilities improved for a bit, maybe he's getting worse again for character consistency.

If you've seen chesse20 outside of these forums (I have for a while) he's doing pretty much the same thing.

however you probably haven't been born deaf (apologies if you have). furling speaks in international sign language, the grammar is different from written english.
hell, it's not even that bad. i can clearly understand what he's trying to say.
Well, I became deaf at very early age. I grew up learning ASL. I've always hated English when I was young. Then I've come to realized that it was kinda necessary to improve my grammar skill, so I did it. Not to mention that Furling dropped out before he could graduate. So that explains why his grammar is not that great yet.
