The files were moved to My Documents because since Windows Vista and beyond Program Files has been restricted so only administrators can modify the files within it (usually). This often caused writing errors and made it hard for people to update the game or install add-ons if they were not administrators on their computers.
Another benefit is that different users on the same computer can have separate installs of Blockland without actually having to reinstall it in separate locations.
