Author Topic: Need help with a short Japanese translation  (Read 796 times)

Can anyone help me translate this text? It's a message left by a Japanese player in Pokemon and I'd really like to know what it says. I figured there has to be at least one person here who can read this stuff.

I've tried all sorts of character recognition things and nothing has been able to make heads or tails of it, likely because I know nothing about how the Japanese written language works. Any help, even partial translations, would be much appreciated.

"be sure to drink your ovaltine"

"i'm not into bestiality"

"chang chong chung ching cheng"
"give me all ur 6iv shinies now"
"you no belong in this country filthy american"
I'm not too good at this but I know Japanese is read from right to left.

Here it is in text: できればいるちがいを

"The differences are, if possible"
"the differences are if you can"
???

Something about you being a different I believe. I don't know what the last bit means.

You are all brilliant comedians and I can't wait to buy tickets to your next show

Thanks, that apparently translates to "the differences are, if possible" according to Google (which we know is so good at translating) which doesn't really mean anything to me

A more "legitimate" translation might make more sense

Yes! I was close. B]

I think it might mean something along the lines of "You can make a difference."
There's people here that are way way better at this though. I can hardly have a conversation with my dad in Japanese.

"if possible, be yourself" / "if possible, be unique"

Thanks, that makes a little more sense, but it turns out what the message says is irrelevant anyway

Thank you to everyone who helped
