i need some virtual machine help

i put windows 98 on a virtual machine, did all the stuff it told me too, booted form the virtual machine through the CD Rom (where i mounted it) did all the stuff, formatted the virtual machine disk, blah blah
now it's asking me if i want to install it to either C:\\Windows (idk if that's the virtual machine windows hard disk) or the other directory.

also i'm using VMware

You're asking how to install Windows 98? The virtual machine doesn't touch your actual computer until you install the additions...
