Author Topic: After I restarted my computer, everything is changed & modified to a Bing theme?  (Read 844 times)

So, my computer died and I turned it back on when I plugged it in. However, as I signed into Windows, it said Preparing Windows, which was a little odd. When the Start Menu came up, over half of the panels were done. I went into my desktop, also a lot of stuff gone. My settings were changed, the windows are green, the toolbar doesn't autohide, and my background is changed to... a Bing image? With a Bing Toolbar now randomly popping up? Is this a virus? Has Microsoft literally forgeted up my computer? What happened?

It begins.
lol, but seriously, I have no idea what happened.

MS doesn't just do this, either your settings got forgeted up and they reset to default or you have some sort of weird malware.

Either way I'd suggest changing your options back and doing a virus scan.

A lot more stuff is gone than I expected, what the forget.

Define "A lot more stuff"

Define "A lot more stuff"
Files and folders from my desktop, panels from my Start Menu, and everything deleted from my user folders, like music, documents, etc. The weird thing is though, my disk space is the same as before.

Wait a sec, it moved me to a user called TEMP? My files are fine, sorry for the confusion.
