Author Topic: Installing programs to a flashdrive?  (Read 517 times)

I was wondering if this is possible.
My computer got crap'd with boot errors, and so I'm using this brand-new computer my mom bought recently.
I don't want to get my programs on here computer, so I was wondering if it is possible to install a program onto my spare 16g flashdrive.
If it is possible, is it possible with everything? If it isn't, what programs can do this?

From experience, it's best to find games that don't require installation. For example, putting the program files for Cortex Command on a flash drive works for 2D shooting on the go. Flash game files work too. But some things just don't like being installed on flash drives, notably Steam/Steam games.

When installing games, you have the browse feature, direct yourself to the flash drive.

yes its possible with anything, even installing an OS on it. will be slow af for an OS though

I just installed Opera onto the flashdrive, works surprisingly well.
