Author Topic: Internet question.  (Read 606 times)

My internet has been very slow lately.
I logged into my Netgear Router and checked the logs and this

UPnP set event: add_nat_rule
and this
UPnP set event: del_nat_rule

have been repeating non-stop all day today.
Usually on my router logs theres nothing except when my iPod connect to the wifi at my house.
sorry Im not savvy with this stuff

try unplugging it for like 5 minutes then plugging it back in

Does it log the port number(s) the UPnP event is allowing?
How many times, and how frequently have these events occured?

it has literally been going all day. Unless its my moms kindle constantly connecting but it just happened again and shes sleeping so...

theres two by the way
I keep getting a
[DHCP IP ] which is one of them
and
UPnP is a different one

ACK and FIN are scanning techniques to help identify vulnerable servers behind routers/firewalls.

Really nothing to worry about as long as the router is blocking them.

Alright well thats good.

Still this random device connecting. Only my iPod and Computer should be connected right now

Yea it has the port number
You could try googling "Port _____" and seeing if any sites have any information on possible things that could be using it
