Author Topic: Will using a VPN affect hosting?  (Read 676 times)

I'm going to be investing in a VPN soon, I know it works for authenticating my key, what about hosting?

How is it set up? Is the Blockland server also the VPN server?

If you can keep a UDP connection over that VPN and it doesn't change the IP, yes.

You would need a static-IP VPN, which usually costs a bit more.

No, it would still work like a proxy. But sure, the security gain is lower that way.

I use one and used setKey, nobody ever has trouble joining.
