Look for the parts in the code which say 'emitter'. No, I am not posting a huge chunk of code for you to copy and learn nothing from.

Look at the modders in the community that have truly been successful.  They worked to learn how to the things they've done.  Sure, everyone receives help from someone more experienced from time to time, but successful modders don't mind doing the groundwork on their own.

Just look at the pills emitter. And change that into fire and add it to the spear, may not be top notch but you will get one fast.
