Dude have you ever swam in the loving pacific ocean? I live in Del Mar but I go to the beach like twice a year and I wear a wet suit. Going into sixty degree water is not an improvement over 95 degree air.

Replacing one extreme for the other is not a solution to a problem. A pool would be perfect; the ocean is too cold.
