Author Topic: Server ideas?  (Read 794 times)

I am having issues thinking of a server to make other than my RPG (which is taking forever), that isn't on the list 24/7. Anyone have ideas on what to make?

Make a regular old TDM.
Make it on a small two sided symetrical map.
I haven't seen a lot of these on really good builds in a while.
Remember DrenDran's old train yard TDM? Like that one.

I'd like to see more symmetrical TDMs like this, but bigger, and with a Bushido-type build style. Simple and playable.

Knife CP (capture point) game

The spawn rooms are small buildings with capture points on them
You capture the capture points on the other teams to shut the doors so the enemy can't get out if they die and respawn, and additionally it partially reveals part of the center capture point you need to capture to win
If you're still alive when your team's capture point is captured you can capture it back and reopen the doors for your team and re-cover part of the center point

Unlimited lives

i always wanted to see some kinda killing floor-style thing where uh
well you fight off waves of enemies, get money, buy more weapons after the wave's over, etc

what i mostly wanna see though is the part where like, the level sorta opens up as it goes
and thus it becomes harder to have a stand since they can come from practically everywhere
maybe you could even stick some objectives into it
it would be interesting i think

Something similar to Mann vs. Machine, perhaps with zombies instead. Kill zombies, win money, buy upgrades, kill more zombies, win game. If they capture a point, you lose. Blockland doesn't have enough co-operative game modes.

Okay so get this.

Use either Kalph's or Xalos' elevator bricks + events with zones, and VCE.  Make it in a low-lit tower with obstacles coming from above and enemies coming from the walls or firing from the walls in waves.  Include multiple levels, where after the elevator comes to a point, it stops, and a giant door opens to reveal a prep room and/or checkpoints.  In this room, if the entire team dies, they restart at this level.  If the entire team dies again, then everyone goes back to the start of the campaign.  Include multiple of these transitions, bosses, power ups, weapon shops (or first come first serve, alternately make it class-based).  Complete with 5-10 levels, each increasing in difficulty.  Enemies can be anything from zombies to an infiltrating armed forces.

Elevator firefight.

Mann vs. Machine
Already have many ideas for this. Thanks guys.
