Author Topic: Dedicated Server  (Read 3916 times)

I can make you a HammerHost Steam-auth beta tester in about 2 weeks.
That would be great! Thanks so much. I'll be willing to pay a fair price because programs like this are not very easy to come apon!
Thanks again!
But how do I sign up?

How long do you think? Just to see, I can wait though

CBMHost is way better than hamhost because it is and will always be 100% free.
Hamhost charges/will charge money to host a server soon.
CBMHost has a control panel, and has very little lag at all. The support is great as well.
 Hamhost just #gotrekt

Sounds like a movie line.

I'm going to back Hammer here. He works hard to provide a free service for the Blockland community. Granted, it isn't a perfect service but it does the job. He's only one guy and what he puts up with and what he does is extraordinary. CBMHost has 2 or 3 people who run the service (I think 2). Look at RTB too, it was run by two people: Ephialtes and Rub. Not to mention, they had many contributors too. I have played on several HammerHost servers before, and I haven't run into any lag-related problems. I'm able to play without the server crashing or freezing momentarily. It's a great service all in all, and I recommend it. It doesn't deserve the negative criticism it gets.

This isn't really a topic about HammerHost, but I kinda agree with the above post's idea. I'm unconvinced that Hammereditor has bad intentions; I really think he's just trying to provide a service. Although he may have had a bit of a forum drama history, and it's harder to appear credible when providing a service for free, I'm not sure that, at this point, there's much reason for it to be getting all of this negativity. I don't feel like it's been given enough of a chance yet. Maybe I'm wrong, but who knows?
