Do you need a drivers license to drive a moped in Illinois?

I'm planning on getting a moped that i can drive around this summer, I have yet to know if I need a drivers license to have one

i remember seeing somewhere that any vehicle that has an engine under 50cc you dont need a license for
but im still not sure
also on the main roads where its like 4 lanes or whatever the sidewalks are huge so i just use that if im on my bike or whatever
