When Modeling a Custom Projectile in MS3D. Do I need to add any Joints to it?

I'm wanting it to bounce. So Will It need any Specific Joints?

Please Verify, and Tell me the names.

Can you Verify

Also Lego, I might need you to code this Weapon, It's A Grenade Launcher

Sneak Peak:

he cant code stuff (sry lego) i know how to make projectiles bounce, and i have milkshape. the weapon looks good jointwise. are the sizes good? pm me the .dts of the projectile and and gun kthx :D (won't release without you permission)

The DTS Is Fine

Hao2makesomethingbounce?

I made the .CS perfectly, Except I need it bouncing.

Can I code it from scratch? :cookie:

I'm not the best though :P

Do a search of the forums, there was a topic about bouncing. You change some values in the ProjectileData datablock, I think.

I know how to make it bounce. What exactly do you need it to do? Explode after a certain amount of bounces or explode after a certain amount of time? And how high do you want it to bounce?

Also the Bullet Shape doesn't need a joint, unless you want to animate it. Unless a collision mesh is added everything happens at the central axis (at the x=0, y=0, z=0 point in Milkshape)

I'm sure grenades like this explode upon impact.

They Do, But I still want to add a secondary Firing Mode that bounces when Fired.

Look at the Flak Cannon.

Where is the flak cannon? People talk about it, but I can't find it.

look at my fireball...lol

or go to the topic of where i learned how to make bouncy projectiles..

(read muffinmix's post 3rd one down)

no. make sure it's pointing the right way, though. i believe the projectiles from all the weapons in the chaos mod are sideways. :/
if you're modelling it in milkshape, the front of the porjectile should be pointing towards the pink line. (same applies for guns, etc)
