Author Topic: Computer fans  (Read 1090 times)

I have one of those coolermaster high air flow cases that has 6 places to put 120mm fans, but my motherboard only has 4 case fan headers. So I'm thinking about using a 200mm fan in the front intake and another in the top exhaust. I was wondering if anyone has a 200mm fan that moves a good amount of air, because my CM megaflow that I have as the top exhaust on high speed moves as much air as a 120mm fan spinning at low-medium speed. I could buy a fan controller and just use all 120mm fans, but that would cost more than 2 big fans, and wouldn't be as quiet either. Anyone got any ideas?

200mm? wah

i think my comps largest one can be 140 lol

i'm a fan of computers

Come on bros if any of you know of a 200mm fan that actually moves air please tell me c:

i dont think i have ever seen anyone use a 200mm fan. there are plenty online though.

I know that, I'm trying to see if anyone has personal experience with one and knows for a fact that it moves more air than just enough to barely levitate a piece of paper on high speed.

Don't use any more fans than you have to. An intake in the bottom front and an exhaust in the top back is all any mid-sized computer needs. Any more extra fans will just be more noise.

I need more airflow than a normal pc though, it's a gaming rig and my gpu shoots out hot air all over the place because I didn't get the turbine fan kind.

My 140mm is enough to flip a paper plate I'm pretty sure.

I guess you don't want your GPU scorched, do you?
