On the way to the destination, I stayed in a hotel right near Grand Rapids (a suburb of the city) although I still went through the city. I left Grand Rapids on July 06. The same night that I left, a considerable tornado went through the south end of the Grand Rapids suburb of Kentwood (my dad worked at a Sprint store near there in 2001-02).
