Note: If you have a format like MP4 or AVI you want to use as a background, rename the file format to wmv. It works.

This seems like it would take up a bit of ram, which, for me, is usually not good for gaming.

At first longer ago when I first heard about animated wallpapers I thought it would be a good deal.
But then I tried it out, and it consumed a big amount of CPU even while the desktop is not visible. It's counter productive as you are not always on the desktop to watch a loop of something either way. And for idle, you have screensavers.

This is literally the first thing I thought. Anyway, I don't know how often you look at your background, but the performance compromise this causes instantly makes this not at all for me. My background is straight black. I never see it.

Holy stuff! I forgot these exist! I kind of want to set one, but at the same time I really don't because I don't want it to look like I just walked out of the 1990s.

My background used to be an epic music visualizer, but it taxed my system, do I turned it off. :(

Everyone is off topic!

I used to use it, but decided that it was too much work to make new backgrounds and it used quite a few resources for just a cool background.
