Maybe because some people don't like dancing when everyone knows who they are? Having their identity covered up gives them the chance to be there self without people knowing who they are

People act different on the internet and real life, because anonymity gives people much more freedom to express themselves how they really want to. Same goes for fursuits.

odd, I don't really care about the anonymity and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't act any differently in my suit than i normally do

guess I'm not as shy as I thought I was? maybe I'm not a 'real' furry since I have no interest in that kind of roleplay/the escapism factor?
