Author Topic: yo forums i've got a question regarding school lockers  (Read 1995 times)

My school has lockers, but no one uses them. They closed all of them will zip ties because they think we are going to hide drugs and weapons inside them.

I get the drugs part, but weapons idk about that. Also no i don't hide drugs.

half of the lockers at my school are tied shut with a really long metal cable, probably because there's like 600-700 of them and only 300 students.

I am supposed to have one, but I don't use it. So far, I only have to carry around my Italian textbook for like, maybe a week tops, so I don't see why I should use it.

i get free schooling but the locker costs 8k or so

For Canada's school system we pay a 45$ student fee every year, it covers any supplies you use such as pencils and paper to lockers and padlocks.

you have to write down your combination though, so they can access your locker in case

I've seen some kids lockers get raided for drugs before

In both schools that I've been to with lockers, there were no fees at all. The locks are provided and some have locks built in.

I carry everything in my backpack

I had to pay $15 for my locker.

I use it occasionally but it's pretty out of the way. You can't even use your own locks, they have cheap-ass built in locks that have the master key slot. They are hell to turn and put in combinations, and if someone gets your combo you're forgeted.

yeah it's kinda the same here but at least they don't charge us that much

unfortunately i can't really because my dad doesn't believe anything is wrong and everything healthcare-related has to be cleared through him first. so i can't really go in to get it treated since the last specialist my doctor sent me to cost us like $200..
Damn, hopefully he'll learn sooner or later.

Using your locker is inefficient and a huge waste of time. I never used my Middle school locker (except for gym), and we didn't have lockers in high school.

well he comes from a family that doesn't believe in orthopedic surgeons and whatnot so uh. tough luck for me i guess.
