no
I would beg to differ, Blender 3D has many useful features and I prefer to hard surface model with it (although texturing in 3DS Max is PROXXXX).

I've worked with Blender before. I never quite got used to it compared to Inventor. Though they do serve quite different purposes.

The stress brown townysis simulations in Inventor are super coolio.

Inventor is mostly used for part manufacturing/simulation and technical drawing creation (that's what I use it for anyways)

autodesk sketchbook??

my dad would feel right at home here. he is a structural engineer so he deals with a lot of these programs

also... sketchup & blender master race

my dads learning 3DS max for work

Going to learn civil engineering through PLTW but idk if we're using AutoCAD (I've used it before but I just learned the basics, but I learned Inventor very good) or Revit

learned to use and love AutoCAD through my CAD Mechanical and Architecure program here at school

Autodesk inventor is trash, at least the educational version
SolidWorks master race

I don't see your reasoning behind that. Are you just saying Inventor is trash in general? The educational version of Inventor is literally no different from the full professional version.

oh yeaaaaaaah ik how to use SolidWorks too

i got my hands on autodesks ultimate creation suite not too long ago, this is all it came with:
Maya
3ds Max
Softimage
MotionBuilder
Mudbox

My school actually paid for like 100 copies of Inventor 2010 and we use it on pretty much everything. We make cheaply replacable 3d printed parts to take to out-of-state competitions as well as model our entire build before we even start doing stuff.
we have the 2013 edition at my school
