Author Topic: Steam games on external hard drive grayed out  (Read 643 times)

Since a couple days ago, all of my Steam games that are on my external hard drive have not been playable from Steam.

As you can probably imagine, this is sort of a problem.
I've restarted Steam and my computer multiple times since it started happening. The external hard drive is plugged in. The light is on and I can see and use the Steam games in SteamApps > common on the external hard drive. Is there any reason they aren't working in the Steam app?

Go to Steam's Settings, Downloads, and check the Content Libraries there, make sure wherever you've got those games is added to that list.

I don't know how it got off of there. >:0
It says that the new folder location needs to be empty. Do I have to make a new folder and add it then put all my games in there?

Nevermind, I pressed the wrong folder to add. It's all working now. Thank you!
